Bookies make Premier League title Man Utd’s after rivals slip up

That incredible fight back from Manchester United at Upton Parlk on Saturday has seen Sir Alex Ferguson’s side gain plenty of friends in the Premier League betting.

Entering the game with West Ham Manchester United had Premier League odds of 4/7 to win the title, but thanks to the three points and results elsewhere going their way, Sir Alex Ferguson’s side are now 1/5 to win the Premier League.

Arsenal’s awful draw with Blackburn leaves them seven points behind the Premier League leaders and Arsene Wenger’s side are now 9/2 to win the Premier League.

Chelsea are out to 12/1 after their draw with Stoke on a Saturday that proved to be a great one for both Manchester clubs.

Manchester City find themselves just two points behind Chelsea and can leapfrog the Premier League champions into third with a win against Sunderland – they are 1/2 to do so – on Sunday.

So while the Premier League winners betting leaves punters with little value, the relegation betting is wide open with just five points separating nine teams.

There are just two teams odds-on for relegation but Wigan saw their relegation odds lengthened to 3/10 from 4/11 after their draw with Spurs, however Blackpool are 10/11 from 1/1 although they play Fulham on Sunday.

Aston Villa did their survival hopes no harm with a win at Goodison Park and Gerard Houllier’s side have the longest relegation odds of the nine sides split by just five points at 5/1.

Roy Hodgson’s revenge mission went to plan and his West Brom side are now 3/1 to be relegated while Blackburn’s shock draw at the Emirates lengthens their odds out to 2/1 – the same price as Birmingham who beat Bolton.

Wolves are available at 6/5 while West Ham are 6/4 after squandering that two goal lead.

A £20 stake on Blackburn being relegated would return £60. New customers can sign up here for up to £60 in free bets.
