Tuesday night offers a 5/1 double in the League Two betting

Published:

It’s a big night in the race for promotion in League Two and while Shrewsbury look to challenge for automatic promotion, Port Vale and Rotherham are fighting to get back into the play-off places.

Like Rotherham and Port Vale, Lincoln have fallen back into a slump after a run of five straight wins ended in February and The Imps now find themselves fighting off relegation.

Rotherham vs Shrewsbury

Andy Liddell will be hoping Rotherham’s 6-0 thrashing of Lincoln nine days ago will have ended their poor run of form, but Shrewsbury present a difficult challenge for a side looking to restart their promotion push.

Rotherham may be the 6/5 favourites to win on Tuesday night but Shrewsbury have lost just two of their last 11 games and having won four of the last five against Rotherham, Shrewsbury hold all the value at 11/5.

The draw (12/5) would be a worry with three in the last ten games, but Shrewsbury can leapfrog Bury into third with a win and Graham Turner’s side will be full of confidence after beating Rotherham 1-0 earlier in the season.

Port Vale vs Lincoln

Since losing Micky Adams to Sheffield United, Port Vale have failed to reproduce any of the form that saw them become early favourites for the League Two title and they are winless in their last five.

But Lincoln have also suffered a dramatic loss of form and while Port Vale challenge for a play-off spot, Lincoln find themselves sliding down the table and with home advantage Port Vale look the pick of Tuesday night’s League Two betting at 5/6 to win.

Lincoln are 10/3 and won earlier in the season, but Port Vale have won four of the six meetings between the two sides and have scored nine and conceded four in that time.

A £20 double on Shrewsbury and Port Vale winning would return £117.20. New customers can sign up here to get £60 in free bets.
