Tottenham vs AC Milan – Spurs unbeaten at home in Europe

Published:

They’ve been a revelation in this season’s Champions League with their free-flowing attacking style of football, and Tottenham Hotspur can delight punters further by advancing to the third round.

AC Milan’s years as European giants seem to be behind them and their last two European campaigns have been ended by English teams, and since the inaugural Champions League in 1992/93, 15 of the 16 teams who won 1-0 away in the first leg have qualified.

Match Odds

Taking a 1-0 lead into the second leg sees Spurs available at 2/7 to qualify but there is less confidence behind Harry Redknapp’s side winning as they are available at 5/4.

But Spurs have never lost at home in Europe over their eight-game history, winning seven of those and drawing one and Harry Redknapp’s side offer plenty of value at 5/4.

Milan are 9/4 – the same price as the draw – to end a run of four games without a win against English sides, but the Italian side have only won once on their travels to England and the odds are against them.

Total Goals

When Brazilian attackers are concentrating on defence, you know the oppoisition is causing a problem and Peter Crouch, with seven goals in seven European starts, is a great bet at 7/4 to score any time.

Robinho has cited Crouch as the main danger and he is convinced his side will win, but the former Man City star must contribute goals if they are to do so and he is 5/2 to score any time.

Spurs’ Champions League ties have produced a total of 30 goals this season and while the first leg was a tight and tense affair, with Milan having to attack there will be plenty of room for Spurs to counter and backing over 3.5 goals at 12/5 looks the pick of the market.

A £25 stake on Tottenhan beating AC Milan 3-1 would return £475. New customers can sign up here for a free bet worth £25.
