QPR to further halt Leicester’s play-off progress

Leicester’s surge towards the Championship play-off places has stuttered in recent weeks and they are likely to go a third game without a victory as they travel to leaders QPR next.

Sven Goran-Eriksson’s team have got to within two points of the play-offs, but this is more because of their home form than their performances on the road.

Leicester have lost five of their last nine away games in the Championship and are 11/4 to beat QPR.

Meanwhile, QPR are 1/1 in the Championship betting to beat Leicester and at worst retain their five-point grip at the top of the standings.

Swansea currently lead a tightly-grouped chasing pack bidding to claim the second automatic promotion spot and on paper they should also win their next game away at relegation threatened Scunthorpe.

The Swans have won their last four league games and are also on a three-game winning streak on their travels, while no Championship club can better Swansea’s eight away wins this season.

This form makes them understandably short at 4/5 in the Championship betting to win at Scunthorpe, who are currently third from bottom.

However, Scunthorpe have only lost one of their last five home games, which includes a victory over high-flying Nottingham Forest.

Scunthorpe are 7/2 to beat Scunthorpe and 5/2 to secure a point.

Arguably the best price in the Championship this weekend is the 11/8 offered that Watford can land the spoils at home to Millwall.

Watford have already beaten Millwall 6-1 this season and have triumphed in five of the last seven meetings between the pair.

Furthermore, Millwall are without a win in their last eight away games, while they have not taken maximum points in any of their last four fixtures.

A £25 stake on QPR beating Leicester 2-1 would return £175. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
