Haye could replace Wladimir as big fight favourite
Published:DAVID HAYE could start his much-anticipated fight with Wladimir Klitschko as favourite, according to Ladbrokes.
The bookies currently make Wladimir Klitschko their 4/7 favourite with Haye the 5/4 underdog but forecast that Haye’s army of fans could see those odds reverse.
David Williams of Ladbrokes said: “It’s not beyond the realms of possibility that Haye could start favourite for the fight. He has a phenomenal following and we’ve seen his fans back him off the boards in previous fights.
“The summer bout has all the ingredients of being a blockbuster and we’d be astonished if the Haye bandwagon doesn’t go into overdrive sooner rather than later.
“We’ll look to be rock bottom at 2/1 about Haye knocking out the Russian. We feel he’s perfectly capable of a massive result.”
