England Bale-d out by injury to Wales star

Ladbrokes have cut the odds of an England victory at the Millennium Stadium from 4/9 to 2/5 following news Welsh ace, Gareth Bale, has been ruled out of Saturday’s game.

The Welsh winger, a favourite for Player of the Year, will miss Saturday’s Euro 2012 clash due to a hamstring injury, but is still hopeful to play in Tottenham’s Champions League game at the Bernabeu on April 5th.

Wayne Rooney is favourite to score the first goal in Cardiff at 4/1, with Andrew Carroll, Jermaine Defoe and Peter Crouch at 9/2.

Craig Bellamy looks like Wales’ best chance of a goal at 8/1 to score first and 5/2 to score at any time.

John Terry is 5/1 to mark is return to captaincy with a goal.

Alex Donohue from Ladbrokes said: “England have been popular since the Bale news has been confirmed and we believe that without their star man Wales face an even tougher task of getting anything from the match.”
