Decent week for home wins upcoming in Championship

Focusing on home wins may be the best betting strategy in the next round of Championship fixtures, with QPR, Nottingham Forest and Watford all looking well set to triumph on their own patches.

Setbacks have been a rare commodity at QPR this season, as just four defeats in the league has helped them to establish a seven-point advantage at the head of the table.

However, they come into their home game with Crystal Palace off the back of a defeat at Millwall.

The good news for QPR is that Crystal Palace have the worst away record across the whole of the Championship, taking just six points from their 18 fixtures on the road.

QPR’s betting odds are 4/9 to beat Crystal Palace and they are unbeaten in their last five games against the opposition.

Five Championship games without a win may have dented Nottingham Forest’s push for an automatic promotion place, but 4/6 looks a decent price that they will get back on the winning bandwagon against Doncaster.

Doncaster are also not in the greatest form with just one success in nine league games, while they have already lost ten times on their travels this season.

Forest have only lost once at home and Kris Boyd may be in line to make a first start since signing on loan from Middlesbrough.

Boyd is 6/1 in the Championship betting to open the scoring against Doncaster.

The other probable home win is at Vicarage Road where lowly Sheffield United are the visitors to Watford.

Watford are one of the most inconsistent teams in the division, but will know that they can still reach the play-offs if they can string together a run of victories.

Sheffield United may have got a priceless win over Nottingham Forest in their last game to aid their survival aspirations, but this is still their only win in 15 fixtures, while they have taken just one point on the road since November.

Watford are 5/6 to beat Sheffield United.

A £25 stake on the treble of QPR, Watford and Nottingham Forest all winning would return £110.25. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
