Chelsea back in title hunt after Blackpool win sees odds trimmed

Write them off at your peril – Chelsea are back in the title hunt as punters pile in on the 7/1 for them to win the Premier League.

Monday night’s victory at Bloomfield Road makes it three victories on the bounce for Chelsea, and with a week off because of FA Cup action, Carlo Ancelotti’s side can look to forward to a break before their Champions League tie with Copenhagen next week.

With 30 goals in their last 13 matches in all competitions, Chelsea look like they have re-found their scoring touch and as Carlo Ancelotti’s side gain momentum as the end of the season approaches, they cannot be ruled out of a strong Premier League and Champions League showing.

At 11/2, Chelsea offer plenty of value to win the Champions League and with a 2-0 lead over Copenhagen ahead of their second round second leg with the Danish side, there place in the quarter-final can be all but guaranteed.

As for the Premier League, Chelsea’s game in hand is at home to Birmingham and with six of their final 10 league fixtures being played at Stamford Bridge, there’s certainly scope for Chelsea to catch Manchester United.

Chelsea play Man Utd at Old Trafford on the 7th May, three games before the end of the season and with Stoke, West Bromwich Albion and Everton providing Chelsea with their other away days, it could well be a title decider.

Man Utd’s loss to Liverpool on Saturday saw their title odds drift to 4/6 with Arsenal trimmed into 13/8, and with 10 games left in this riveting Premier League season, Chelsea could yet turn the final act into a thriller.

A £25 stake on Chelsea winning the Premier League would return £200. New customers can sign up here for a free Premier League bet worth £25.
