Captain can lead Bristol Rovers to vital League One victory

Bristol Rovers captain Stuart Campbell still believes that the club can survive in League One and he will want to secure the three points in his first game as caretaker boss, which is away at Tranmere.

It is 10/3 in the League One betting that Bristol Rovers beat Tranmere, although their recent form of eight defeats in nine league games may not inspire much confidence.

However, Tranmere have not been in the greatest form of late themselves as they have taken just two points from a possible 15, which has dragged them back towards the relegation places.

Tranmere are 5/6 to beat Bristol Rovers, with the draw 5/2.

Carlisle were unfortunate not to leave League One leaders Brighton with something in their last game and their performance should have given them enough confidence to dispose of Hartlepool.

The pair are among the most inconsistent teams in the division and this is largely the reason that they both sit in mid-table, with little in reality to play for over the remainder of the season.

Carlisle are 1/1 to beat Hartlepool, with the visitors 11/4 to secure victory.

At least four goals have been scored in each of the last four meetings between the pair and therefore the 4/5 that the game sees a minimum of three goals may be the best bet.

Elsewhere, leaders Brighton continue to stamp their authority on the division and will want to keep piling on the pressure on the chasing pack with a win at Brentford.

No team in League One has won more away games than Brighton this season and they are 11/10 to beat Brentford.

Brentford are unbeaten in four league games at home and are 12/5 to beat Brighton.

A £25 stake on Bristol Rovers beating Tranmere 1-0 would return £200. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
