Bet on Norwich to keep up promotion push against Bristol City

Published:

It’s already been a season in which Norwich have surpassed expectations, but things could get even better for Paul Lambert’s men.

The Canaries are currently 8/11 favourites for their Monday night clash against Bristol City and, if they live up to that billing, they’ll climb above Swansea City and into the second automatic promotion spot.

The last time these sides met in October, Norwich came away as comfortable 3-0 winners.

Another win would see Norwich extend their unbeaten run to seven Championship games and there is nothing to suggest they shouldn’t do just that. They’ve lost only four games at Carrow Road all season and haven’t been defeated at home in their seven league games since Christmas.

However, they do have a habit of shipping one or two goals at home and have kept just three clean sheets on home soil all term. Even during their recent good run of form they’ve conceded one goal in each of their previous five home games.

With Norwich’s less than brilliant defensive record – they’ve only got the ninth best home defence in the league – backing over 2.5 goals at 5/6 looks well worth a bet.

Norwich may be the 8/11 favourites, but don’t write off the visitors just yet. They’ve won their latest four games and have lost only two of their previous seven away games.

Backing Bristol City at 4/1 could yield a very tidy profit.
