Accrington vs Hereford – Stanley can edge closer to play-off place

Published:

With just one loss in their last 10 games Accrington Stanley are making a late charge for the play-off places and John Coleman’s side can move three points closer with victory over Hereford.

Stanley are 5/6 to win and look the pick of Wednesday’s League Two betting action considering they are on a run of five straight home wins in which they have only failed to score three times once.

Hereford have picked up their form after spending much of 2010 in the relegation zone and after their last trip ended in a 1-1 draw with Port Vale, Jamie Pitman’s side will be confident of an upset.

Hereford are 10/3 to beat Stanley and with three wins in their last five games against Accrington, the Hereford players should be confident of a win.

But Accrington’s home form is too strong to ignore and backing Stanley to win 3-1 at 12/1 offers up plenty of value.

Burton Albion vs Macclesfield Town

There are worrying times ahead at the Pirelli Stadium as Burton continue to fail in their bid to find the wins that will draw them clear of the relegation zone.

Earlier in the season the League Two table looked deceptive with Burton one spot outside the relegation zone with eight games in hand, but Paul Peschisolido’s side are still one spot outside the relegation zone with just three games in hand.

Without a win in five, Burton are 6/5 to end that run at home to Macclesfield on Wednesday but have never beaten the Cheshire side.

Macclesfield’s loss to in-form Stevenage was their first defeat in six games but the Silkmen can bounce back with victory on Wednesday and are 11/5 to do so.

A repeat of the 2-1 victory at Macclesfield’s Moss Rose earlier in the season is priced at 10/1.

A £20 double on Accrington and Macclesfield would return £117.20. New customers can sign up here to get £60 in free bets.
