X Factor to pay the price for Cowell replacement

Published:

Katie Price has emerged as a leading contender to replace Simon Cowell as an X Factor judge according to Ladbrokes.

TV punters have piled onto Price in the last 24 hours in the ‘to replace Simon Cowell’ market forcing her odds from 25/1 into 5/1.

Robbie Williams remains the favourite to take over from Cowell should he quit the show this year to focus on the X Factor USA with Gary Barlow a 4/1 chance.

Price’s ex-Alex Reid remains the outsider of the group at 250/1.

It’s 500/1 that he sits alongside Price on the same judging panel in the next series.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “As the X Factor continues to be just as much about publicity who better than Price to judge contestants’ tabloid credentials.”

He added: “We have to treat all rumours from the SiCo camp with extreme caution and the odds are sure to change again after the next leak.”
