Wolves comeback good news for bookies

MANCHESTER UNITED remain the 4/6 favourites for the title with Ladbrokes despite losing for the first time this season to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

On what was one of the most exciting afternoons of football in recent memory Arsenal blew a 4-0 lead at Newcastle and are now 11/4 for the title with their hosts 10/1 chances for the drop.

Wolves are out to 4/7 for relegation despite defying in-play odds of 20/1 to come back and win at home to Manchester United.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “We were already toasting Newcastle before the Wolves result which proved to be the icing on the cake. Despite this, United remain odds-on for the title as Arsenal also failed to make up ground with Chelsea still firmly in the hunt.”

He added: “Louis Saha, Carlos Tevez and Robin Van Persie hat-tricks were all bad news for us as punters latched onto those, however they can’t take the shine off what was a great day for us and football fans in general.”
