Published:The AV referendum looks set to go ahead according to Ladbrokes.
‘Yes’ is the bookmaker’s 8/11 favourite with the ‘No’ result just behind at even money. Voter turnout remains finely poised with the line set at 42 per cent, with 5/6 the price about either the above or below option.
In other political betting news Labour have been trimmed again to secure the most seats at the next general election following a steady run of money for the party over the last week.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said:”At this stage the ‘Yes’ vote is ahead but it’s far from over and the odds could easily swing either way as we get nearer to the polling day. In the mean time we’ve seen a steady drip of money for Labour and we’ve been forced to cut the price – another few weeks of trading like this will see their odds get even closer to the Conservatives.”
