Support for Lewis to win Premier League Darts

Published:

ADRIAN LEWIS is now 7/2 to win the PDC Premier League (from 13/2).

Despite beating Phil Taylor on the opening night of the tournament, he remains the joint second favourite behind Taylor (2/1), with Gary Anderson the other 7/2 chance.

Simon Whitlock is 8/11 to overcome Raymond van Barneveld (2/1) in the opening game. Taylor is 5/6 to avenge Mark Webster’s victory over him in the World Championships and it’s just 7/4 Webster beats Taylor again. Terry Jenkins is 16/1 for the tournament and seems up against it when he takes on Anderson in the final game of the evening.

It’s 4/9 Anderson beats Jenkins in a repeat of the World Championships semi-final with 10/3 the price about a victory for the ‘Bull’. The draw is priced up at 4/1 in every game.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “We were impressed with Lewis’ performance last week and think he can continue to stamp his authority on the circuit by winning the PDC this year. It would be folly of us to write Taylor off at this stage though and he remains the favourite – a loss on Thursday might change that however.”
