Schiavonne set for second round success in Dubai Duty Free

It’s a tough field at the Dubai Duty Free tennis championships, but the second round betting offers plenty of value on the favourites progressing through to the third round.

Francesca Schiavone vs Shuai Zhang

The world number 84 is an unknown prospect for FSchiavone, but Zhang should prove no match for the world number four and the Italian is 1/6 to beat Zhang.

This is Schiavone’s first tournament since her quarter-final exit to Caroline Wozniacki at the Australian Open, but while her opponent eased her way into the second round, this should be a straight sets win for Schianvone and is priced at 8/15.

Jelena Jankovic vs Chanelle Scheepers

It’s been a tough few months for Jankovic since retiring in the fourth round at Wimbledon in 2010, and an upset is on the cards despite Jankovic being available at 2/7 to beat Scheepers.

Scheepers, the world number 78, overcame Maria Kirilenko in the first round and the confidence that the South African will take from that performance makes her a strong bet at 5/2 to beat Jankovic.

At 5/1 to win 2-0 and 5/1 to win 2-1, Scheepers offers plenty of value in the set betting market which punters should take advantage of.

Timea Bacsinszky vs Marion Bartoli

Just the once have these two met and Bartoli emerged victorious on the grass courts of Wimbledon and the French star can repeat that 2-0 victory and is 8/11 to do so.

Bartoli has been in strong form as of late and the world number 47 should prove no problem for the 2007 Wimbledon finalist.

Agnieszka Radwanska vs Anastasija Sevastova

Exactly one year ago today Radwanska beat Sevastova in this very tournament, and the world number ten is 10/11 to repeat that 2-0 win on Wednesday.

Sevastova is 9/4 to beat Radwanska but the omens are strong for the Pole and Radwanska is the bet of the day.

A £25 stake on Schiavone, Scheepers, Bartoli and Radwanska winning would return £175. New customers can sign up here for a free bet worth £25.
