Punters say Gab a gift for Coulson vacancy
Published:Gabby Bertin has been the best backed contender for the Coulson vacancy with Ladbrokes in the last 48 hours.
Introduced to the market by request of a key political commentator, Bertin’s initial 6/1 quote quickly disappeared and she now trades at 3/1.
Ian Birrell is the uneasy 2/1 favourite having previously been as short as 5/4 with Guto Hari another candidate who still appears in contention at 4/1.
Of the new runners former government communication secretary Matt Tee receives the shortest quote at 12/1.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Bertin is all the rage for the position and it appears to only be a matter of time before she displaces Birrell as the favourite. Tee is an intriguing contender given his CV and he could be another runner to attract some shrewd money as the search continues.”
