Man Utd into 6/1 to finish league season unbeaten

Manchester United are now 6/1 with Ladbrokes to go the rest of the Premier League season unbeaten after they dispatched Aston Villa last night.

The chances of United emulating Arsenal’s 2003/04 team were given a major boost with Wayne Rooney’s return to goal-scoring form.

Rooney is 5/4 to score more than ten goals in the Premier League this season, which is the target his manager set him. Furthermore, he is now 50/1 to score more goals than teammate Dimitar Berbatov, who’s already netted 19 times this season.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “United have gone unbeaten so far without really hitting top gear. There are still 15 league games to go but with Wayne Rooney’s return to form Fergie’s men going unbeaten is a very real possibility.”

Ladbrokes Odds

Rooney to score more Premier League goals than Berbatov this – 50/1
Rooney to score more than ten goals in the Premier League (the target Ferguson set him) – 5/4
Manchester United to remain unbeaten this season – 6/1
