Chesterfield with chance to go eleven points clear at the top

Published:

Having extended their lead to eight points on Saturday, Chesterfield have the chance to further cement their place as League Two favourites with Rotherham and Shrewsbury not in action.

Wycombe Wanderers will be hoping to leap frog both the Millers and the Shrews into second place with a win at home to Burton Albion, while Port Vale can potentially go second if they win at home to Stevenage Borough.

Bradford City vs Chesterfield

Bradford may be unbeaten in their last six games against Chesterfield but Peter Taylor’s side are languishing in League Two and have just the one win from their last eight games.

Yet Bradford are 15/8 to beat Chesterfield which leaves the league leaders offering incredible value at 11/8 having ended their run of five games without a win away to high flying Lincoln City

Craig Davies considers to trouble the scorers and is on 15 goals in the league this season – he is 9/2 to get the first goal with a 1-0 Chesterfield win priced at 7/1.

Wycombe Wanderers vs Burton Albion

Wycombe won 2-1 on the only occasion these two have met earlier in the season and Gary Waddock’s side are 10/11 to win on Tuesday night.

Burton find themselves 22nd in League Two but have five games to make up on most sides.

Even so, with just one win in their last six league games Burton are struggling for form and the 3/1 for them to win should be avoided.

Port Vale vs Stevenage Borough

Vale seem to have stuttered their way out of their blip in form and at 6/5 to win, they offer all the value considering they are unbeaten eight league games.

But the Stevenage defence has conceded just three goals in their last six league games so a low-scoring encounter should be expected with under 2.5 goals available at 20/21.

A 1-0 win for Vale looks the best bet at 7/1.

A £25 treble on Chesterfield, Wycombe and Port Vale winning would return £249.25. New customers can sign up here for a free bet worth £25.
