Brighton to increase woes on troubled Plymouth

As if things could not get any worse for Plymouth as they prepare to be deducted ten points for issuing a ‘Notice of Intention’, they now have to ready themselves for a trip to League One leaders Brighton.

The deduction will leave Plymouth rooted to the foot of the League One table and make them massive favourites to suffer back-to-back relegation.

They could enhance their chances by beating Brighton, but this is unlikely as the hosts are yet to lose at the Withdean Stadium this season.

Brighton’s betting odds are 4/11 to beat Plymouth, who have lost their last five League One games and eight of their last nine.

Plymouth’s off-field problems could have a positive impact on the pitch and they are 8/1 to beat Brighton, while the draw can be backed at 7/2.

If Brighton do suffer an unlikely defeat, Bournemouth could move to the top of the standings with a home win over Sheffield Wednesday.

Bournemouth have taken more points at home than any other club in League One this season and are 10/11 to continue their fine form by beating a Sheffield Wednesday side that have not won in nine league games.

Goals have been sparse in the last five encounters between the pair and therefore it may prove prudent to take the 10/11 offered that the game witnesses under 2.5 goals scored.

Despite winning their last two home games, Dagenham and Redbridge still find themselves propping up League One, but they could be worth a small investment to upset Huddersfield.

Huddersfield are currently third in the standings after going nine games unbeaten and are 11/10 to beat Dagenham and Redbridge.

However, the hosts will be determined to move out of the relegation places and are 12/5 to land the spoils, which is the same price as the draw.

A £25 stake on Brighton beating Plymouth 3-0 would return £150. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
