Bet on winning starts for new League One bosses

Sheffield Wednesday and Brentford can both take comfort from the fact that they have home games next in League One as they prepare to begin a new era under new management.

The Owls took the decision to part company with Alan Irvine after shipping 19 goals in their last six league games, in which they failed to secure a single victory.

This run has seen Sheffield Wednesday slip eight points outside of the play-off places and assistant manager Rob Kelly will have the immediate task of rediscovering the winning mentality against the MK Dons.

Sheffield Wednesday’s betting odds are 1/1 to beat MK Dons in Kelly’s first game in temporary charge and they have avoided defeat in their last four games against the opposition.

Meanwhile, they have already beaten MK Dons once this season when running out 4-1 winners in their away fixture in League One in November.

MK Dons currently occupy the final play-off spot and are 11/4 to consolidate their position with a victory.

Nicky Forster has been handed the responsibility of helping Brentford return to winning ways after the club decided the time was right to sack Andy Scott.

Brentford are just two points outside of the relegation places at present after failing to win a league game since beating Dagenham and Redbridge on New Year’s Day.

Forster’s temporary tenure begins at home to Plymouth and they are also 1/1 in the League One odds to triumph.

However, Plymouth have won three of the last four meetings between the pair and are 13/5 to land the spoils, which would put to bed their own miserable run of three successive league defeats.

A £25 stake on Sheffield Wednesday beating MK Dons 2-0 would return £175. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
