Ashton’s barrage of tries are becoming hard to swallow

CHRIS ASHTON can strike another blow for Ladbrokes punters by scoring at the weekend and celebrating with his trademark ‘swallow-dive’.

It’s 9/2 he score England’s first try of the match and 2/1 that he scores at anytime whilst pulling off the dive. In a match bet with the rest of the England team he is also 1/1 to add to his tally of six and outscore the rest of the squad, who are currently on four tries collectively (8/11).

England are the 4/9 favourites for the match and trade at 10/11 minus five points on the handicap. It’s 7/4 the French win or 10/11 with the handicap advantage and the draw is priced at 18/1.

In a game billed as a Championship decider, it’s currently 8/11 that England win the Six Nations with France 6/5 chances and the Grand Slam betting is even closer with ‘no Grand Slam winner’ the favourite at 11/8 from England (15/8) and France (2/1).

“In what appears to the the Championship decider the betting indicates that it will be a tight game but we expect England will make use of home advantage.”
