Arsenal can qualify from Manchester United FA Cup tie

Arsene Wenger has stated that Arsenal will have no motivational issues to win their FA Cup fifth round replay with Leyton Orient, because they know that Manchester United will await in the quarter finals.

The draw has meant that at least one of the two favourites to win the competition will not reach the last four, with Manchester United currently the market leaders in the FA Cup betting at 9/4.

Meanwhile, they will also be boosted by home advantage for the crunch last-four showdown, assuming Arsenal do win their replay at the Emirates against Leyton Orient.

Wenger told ESPN about the thought of facing Manchester United and suggested that his club could win at Old Trafford for the first time in seven attempts.

He said: “Of course that’s not an easy tie but it’s one more motivation to go through as well because it’s an exciting tie. If we go through I think we have a good chance to qualify.”

Arsenal’s betting odds are now 7/2 to win the FA Cup, which is the same price as a Manchester City side who will be delighted with the draw.

Roberto Mancini’s team dismantled Notts County 5-0 in their late fourth-round encounter and are therefore still to play their last-16 fixture at home to Aston Villa.

The winners of this will be at home to either Everton or Reading in the quarter finals.

Elsewhere, Stoke will be at home to either West Ham or Bolton in the quarter finals, while Birmingham face Bolton.

It has been a good season for Birmingham in the cup competitions as they are already in the final of the Carling Cup and they are now 14/1 to win the FA Cup.

A £25 stake on Stoke winning the FA Cup would return £350. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
