Appleton backed for West Brom vacancy
Michael Appleton is the subject of continued support with Ladbrokes for the West Brom job.
The bookies have responded to the money by cutting Appleton from 7/1 to the 5/2 second favourite behind Chris Hughton.
Roy Hodgson’s price has also halved into 5/1 (from 10/1) with Sam Allardyce the big drifter (5/2 to 12/1) as punters remain unsure of his chances.
Alan Irvine is shortest priced new addition to the market at 6/1 with Roy Keane a 20/1 chance.
West Brom also just 13/8 to be relegated this season.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Caretaker manager Appleton is all the rage as punters have quickly dismissed Big Sam’s chances of getting the job.”
