What next for David Miliband?

| 13.01.2011

David Miliband is 500/1 with Ladbrokes to manage Sunderland.

As he looks set to take a non-executive role at the club the bookies have priced up his future career options and make it the 2/1 favourite that he fronts up a BBC programme.

It’s 5/1 he resigns from politics all together.

Should he stay it’s 10/1 he joins the shadow cabinet and 33/1 he becomes the ambassador to the US.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “It seems like television will be his next step. Should he get a taste for football on Wearside and subsequently gets his badges we’d have a huge payout on our hands.”

Ladbrokes latest betting:

What will David Miliband do in 2011?
Present a BBC TV programme – 2/1
Resign as an MP – 5/1
To join the shadow cabinet – 10/1
Become Leader of the Labour Party – 20/1
Become Ambassador to the US – 33/1
To become a full time teacher – 50/1
