Van Bommel would be huge coup for inexperienced Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur forward Rafael van der Vaart has urged boss Harry Redknapp to sign his Holland teammate Mark van Bommel.

The midfield enforcer would be ineligible to play in the Champions League this season after appearing for Bayern Munich, but would be a big boost to Spurs’ Premier League ambitions.

Spurs have Premier League odds of 33/1 to win the title and their cause would be helped massively by the introduction of the experienced Van Bommel.

Van der Vaart said: “Mark is a super player with lots of experience that would help the young players in the Tottenham team.

“The club wants to make the next step to reach the level of our local rivals Arsenal. Tottenham Hotspur are already close to getting there, but Mark can help us even further.”

Spurs are currently eight points behind Premier League leaders Manchester United and you can get a free bet worth £25 on them claiming their first Premier League title, just by clicking here.

If you want to look a little more short-term with your free bet, you can back Spurs to keep up their unbeaten run at Newcastle this weekend.

Spurs are a very tempting 5/4 in the Premier League odds to win that game and look good to get their second league win over the Magpies this season.

A £25 bet on Spurs to beat Newcastle 2-0 would return £225. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
