Torres expected to stay at Liverpool in short term

| 28.01.2011

FERNANDO TORRES is 1/8 with Ladbrokes to still be a Liverpool player by the end of the transfer window despite Chelsea’s £35m bid.

The Spaniard is 7/4 to still be at Liverpool at the start of next season, while it’s 5/2 that he starts the season at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s interest could spark a bidding war, with Manchester City (9/2), Barcelona (10/1) and Real Madrid (7/1) all potential destinations for the striker next season.

David Williams of Ladbrokes said: “Chelsea have flexed their muscles but we’d be really surprised if Liverpool sell him in the next couple of days. His future this summer looks far less certain, however.”
