South Africa vs India – Reeling Proteas favourites in betting

The Indian squad are in high spirits following their incredible comeback in Johannesburg in the second one-day international, but the ecstasy is to be short lived as the teams face off in Cape Town.

Having thrown away the 2nd ODI, Graeme Smith and his side are looking to bounce back and the South Africa vs India betting market suggests that the Proteas should emerge from the third ODI victorious.

South Africa are 8/13 to beat India and after dominating the first ODI, a return to winning ways shouldn’t be too difficult for Smith’s side.

India may be the 7/2 favourites in the Cricket World Cup betting, but home advantage is a huge advantage in one-day cricket and Smith, AB de Villiers and Jean-Paul Duminy can guide South Africa to victory.

Smith is 13/8 to score a half century, de Villiers (11/4) and Duminy (7/2), and considering all three have one half century to their name in this series already, they offer plenty of value for punters looking to make some money on this ODI.

The injured Sachin Tendulkar is a big blow to India’s chances in this series, but it allows potential world cup stars to find some form and Yusuf Pathan and Suresh Raina may find the Cape Town pitch more suited to their games.

Rania is 4/1 to make 50 or more in the third ODI betting market but his efforts will be in vain as India’s betting odds of 6/5 suggest they’re in for a rough ride.

The loss of Jacques Kallis is just as big a blow to South Africa as the loss of Tendulkar is to India, but South Africa have the strength in depth to cope with Kallis’ injury and the Proteas can emerge from the third ODI with a 2-1 series lead.

A £25 stake on AP de Villiers scoring 50 or more would return £93.75. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
