It will cost Chelsea £25m if they want to add the attacking talents of Alexis Sanchez to their ranks in order to enhance their chances of challenging for the Premier League title.

Chelsea have slumped to 8/1 in the Premier League betting after winning just two of their last ten top-flight games and are seven points adrift of leaders Manchester United, while also having played a game more.

Chairman Roman Abramovich seems set to spend some money in order to bridge this gap, with Chilean Sanchez at the head of manager Carlo Ancelotti’s wish list.

Sanchez has been highly touted for a move away from Udinese since impressing at the World Cup, with the Italian club already rejecting an offer from Turkish side Galatasaray ahead of the start of the season.

Manchester United and Inter Milan have also registered an interest, but it appears that Chelsea are the most determined to sign Sanchez and have even been told a minimum price that they will need to offer.

Udinese president Gianpaolo Pozzo told Sky Italia: “With Chelsea, we talked about €30m. I want this figure, if not more.”

Signing Sanchez would add some much needed pace to Chelsea’s ageing squad, while his trickery and creativity around the opposing penalty box could add a new dimension to their game.

Meanwhile, Sanchez has also displayed an eye for goal in recent weeks with goals in all of Udinese’s last four Serie A games.

Chelsea travel to Bolton next in the Premier League looking to continue the recent momentum they have gained through winning their last two games in all competitions.

Chelsea’s betting odds are 8/13 to inflict just a second home league defeat on Bolton this season, with the hosts valued at 7/2 to leave Ancelotti’s title hopes in tatters.

A £25 stake on Manchester City winning the title would return £150. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
