Norwich v Cardiff – In-form Bluebirds are 11/5 in the betting

Published:

The most appetising clash of this weekend’s Championship action is undoubtedly taking place at Carrow Road, as second place Cardiff and third place Norwich lock horns.

Cardiff were comprehensive 3-1 victors when the sides met at Cardiff City Stadium in October and are a massive 25/1 to win by the same margin again. However, things promise to be a lot tighter this time around.

Cardiff’s preparations won’t have been helped by the news that Craig Bellamy has been arrested and bailed on suspicion of assault. However, with Norwich coming into the game on the back of a 1-0 FA Cup defeat to Leyton Orient, backing Cardiff – who’ve beaten Leeds and drawn with Stoke in their previous two games – looks well worth a bet at 11/5.

Burnley v QPR

Championship leaders QPR are still reeling from the horrific leg-break suffered by striker Jamie Mackie against Blackburn Rovers at the weekend.

They lost that game 1-0, making it three games without a victory for Neil Warnock’s men. With Burnley only four points off the play-off places and fresh off the back of a convincing 4-2 victory over Port Vale in the FA Cup, backing the Clarets to pick up a point at 23/10 is a very tempting bet.

Leeds United v Scunthorpe United

Despite their lofty league position, Leeds United are now five games without a win in all competitions. Admittedly four of those games have ended in draws, but their inability kill teams off must be a cause for concern for boss Simon Grayson.

However, they won’t get many better opportunities to pick up three points this season than this game against Scunthorpe. The Iron have won just one of their last nine games and should be easily defeated in this game. Back a Leeds win at 4/7.

A £25 bet on Leeds to win 2-0 could see a return of £175. New Ladbrokes customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
