Nacarat offers great place value at 10/1 in King George betting

Nacarat’s trainer Tom George is eager for Saturday’s rearranged King George VI Chase to come around as quickly as possible.

The Gloucester based trainer believes his gelding has a great chance of returning home a winner on Saturday and with King George betting odds of 10/1, Nacarat offers punters plenty of value in a race that is dominated by Kauto Star.

Ladbrokes are offering 1/4 odds for a first three finish which leaves Nacarat 5/2 to finish in the top three.

A £12.50 e/w stake on Nacarat finishing in the first three would return £43.75 and new customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.

Kauto Star has won this race on the last four occasions it has been run and the Paul Nicholls-trained star is a best price 4/5 with Ladbrokes to make history and win his fifth consecutive King George on Saturday.

But Nacarat, who finished fourth behind Kauto Star priced at 25/1 in this race in 2009, has a win and a second place to his name to his name at Kempton and his trainer believes he is in with a great shout of winning on Saturday.

George said: “We have been delighted with him. He did his last piece of work this morning and I could not have him any better in my opinion.”

“There are a few days to go, but we could not be happier with him at this stage.”

The forecast over the coming week suggests that the Kempton track will be soft at best on Saturday and the 11 horses entered in the King George betting face a slog if the rain comes.

But Nacarat has won on soft ground and has had a credible second place at Kempton and he looks one of the picks of the paddock to chase Kauto Star home.

A £25 stake on Kauto Star winning the King George would return £45. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
