Lecce capable of springing Milan surprise

Published:

AC Milan dropped points in their last Serie A game at home to Udinese and the chasing pack could bridge the gap further at the head of the table as they face a tricky fixture at Lecce next.

Milan have not won on their last four trips to Lecce and are far too short at 1/2 in the Serie A odds to end this run this season.

Lecce may have lost three of their last four league games, but represent reasonable value at 6/1 to take the three points, despite also only having won once in their last 16 showdowns with Milan.

With Milan unbeaten in their last away games, perhaps the best betting opportunity is the draw, which is available at 3/1.

Antonio Cassano has impressed in two substitute appearances for Milan since arriving from Sampdoria and is 5/1 to be the first goalscorer.

Lazio are one side who could benefit from a Milan slip up and they are 5/6 to beat Sampdoria in the next round of Serie A fixtures.

A run of one win in four games has seen Lazio drop slightly off the title pace and much could come down to who scores first.

Lazio have won all ten games in which they have broken the deadlock this season and have the favourite in the first goalscorer market in the shape of Sergio Floccari at 9/2.

Sampdoria are unbeaten in their last four showdowns with Lazio, but have lost three of their last four away games in Serie A.

It is 7/2 in the Serie A betting that Sampdoria beat Lazio, with the draw valued at 12/5.

A £25 bet on the scorecast of Lazio beating Sampdoria 3-1and Floccari scoring first could see a return of £1000. New Ladbrokes customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
