Guly to take Brazilian flair on the road to ensure another Saints win

Published:

Guly do Prado has been in blistering scoring form for Southampton at home of late and he can be expected to continue his scoring spree on the road as the Saints look to return to the League One automatic promotion places with a win at Oldham.

The Brazilian has four goals in Southampton’s last three games and is therefore a massive price at 8/1 in the League One betting to open the scoring against Oldham, especially given his attacking position.

Southampton will be further optimistic of securing victory should Guly score as they have taken the three points in all of the last five games where he has found the target.

Nigel Adkins’ team are 1/1 to beat Oldham and Guly has never been on a losing Southampton team when managing to add his name to the scoresheet.

A win for Oldham would not only lift them into the play-off places, but would also ensure that neighbours Bournemouth remain in second spot in the league standings.

Oldham’s odds are 13/5 to beat Southampton.

If Southampton do fail to beat Oldham then Huddersfield will be another team to profit as long as they claim an expected victory at home to Plymouth.

Huddersfield are 4/7 to beat Plymouth, with the win ensuring they move level on points with Bournemouth.

Lee Clark’s side have won their last six home games against Plymouth, keeping clean sheets in each of the last three.

With the last three games between the pair only being won by the odd goal, perhaps the best betting opportunity is Huddersfield winning 1-0, which can be backed at 6/1.

Those fancying Plymouth to win for just the second time in six away games can take advantage of odds of 5/1.

A £10 bet on Huddersfield beating Plymouth 3-2 could see a return of £250. New Ladbrokes customers can sign up here for a free £10 bet.
