Crawley 12/5 to beat Torquay and continue FA Cup dream

Published:

Crawley are the lowest team in the football pyramid to reach the FA Cup fourth round and they can continue their exploits with an upset win at League Two Torquay.

FA Cup betting odds have Crawley at 12/5 to beat Torquay and come into the tie in great form with six wins and a draw from their seven games in 2011.

They have also kept clean sheets in the last three of these fixtures.

Torquay are unlikely to have it easy against the Conference leaders and have never previously reached the last 16 of the FA Cup.

They are 6/5 to beat Crawley, while the 7/1 offered that they progress 1-0 could be worth taking as this has been the result in all three of Torquay’s victories in the FA Cup so far this season.

Stevenage are another League Two side still in the FA Cup and they have also never previously reached the fifth round of the tournament.

They are at home to Reading next, in what will be the first ever showdown between the pair, and are 12/5 to secure victory.

However, Reading have won their last three FA Cup games with lower-league opposition and are a better bet at 11/10 to triumph.

League Two strugglers Hereford are also still alive in the competition and head into a tough away game with Sheffield Wednesday in a decent run of form.

Despite their lowly league position, they are on a six-match unbeaten run in all competitions and this could make them overpriced at 11/2 to beat an Owls team that have only won one of their four games in 2011.

Sheffield Wednesday’s betting odds are 8/15 to beat Hereford and based on their superior squad, there is no reason to doubt that they will secure victory.

A £25 stake on Crawley beating Torquay 2-1 would return £250. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
