Bet on Sevilla to gain the upper hand over Real Madrid

Sevilla are heavily overpriced at 11/4 in the betting to take victory in the opening leg of their Copa del Rey semi final at home to Real Madrid.

Although they have disappointed for the most part in La Liga this season, Sevilla do hold the upper hand in home meetings with Real Madrid in recent seasons.

They have won five of the last six encounters at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Real Madrid have triumphed in four of the last six clashes between the pair and both of the last two, which could make them a reasonable price to claim the first-leg initiative at 10/11.

Meanwhile, 12 of the last 18 encounters have seen a minimum of four goals, so taking the 11/8 that over 3.5 goals are scored may prove profitable.

The other Copa del Rey semi final seems far simpler to predict as Barcelona host an Almeria team that they have already beaten 8-0 this season.

Barcelona have never lost to Almeria in their seven career meetings and have won all three of their home games without conceding a goal.

It is 1/14 in the Copa del Rey betting that Barcelona secure another victory, while they are 4/7 to emerge victorious in the first leg with a clean sheet.

Almeria may be floundering towards the foot of the La Liga table but they have one of the better defensive records on their travels, conceding just 13 goals in ten games.

Although, there is little optimism that they can win the game at 22/1, there is a small possibility that they can defend doggedly and earn a draw, which can be backed at 10/1.

A £25 stake on Sevilla beating Real Madrid 3-2 in the first leg would return £1000. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
