Bet on Nottingham Forest at 12/1 to win Championship title

Billy Davies’ Nottingham Forest kept up their excellent run of form with a battling 2-1 win against Portsmouth at the weekend.

A late own-goal from Pompey’s Ibrahima Sonko and an injury-time strike from Marcus Tudgay earned Forest all three points and means they are now in at 12/1 to win the Championship title.

If they win their two games in hand over leaders QPR, they will be within three points of Neil Warnock’s men, who have been stuttering over recent weeks.

With just two wins in their last seven Championship games, the West London side have allowed those around them to close the gap, with just ten points separating them in first and Millwall in ninth. However, QPR are still favourites in the Championship betting at 11/10 to claim the title.

Swansea City bounced back from their defeat to Leicester with a convincing 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace – their second 3-0 win over the Eagles this season.

The Swans boast the best home defence in the league, having now gone three home games without shipping a goal. The introduction of Luke Moore has added some welcome pace to the Swansea front-line, and they can be backed to win the title at 10/1.

Russell Martin’s late equaliser for Norwich against Cardiff means both teams are level on 44 points, with Cardiff in third, one place above Norwich thanks to their superior goal difference.

Cardiff have maintained their lofty position due to the inability of the teams around them to put a run together, rather than any brilliance on their behalf. They’ve won just two of their last nine and can be backed at 5/1, which could be a good bet with England’s Jay Bothroyd still to return to fitness.

A £25 stake on Norwich winning the Championship would return £250. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
