Bet on Manchester United to win back Premier League title

Saturday couldn’t have gone much better for Manchester United.

They produced a fine performance against Birmingham to run out comfortable 5-0 winners and then Darren Bent made a dream debut for Aston Villa by scoring the winner against United’s nearest rivals, Manchester City.

Their next league game is against Blackpool on Tuesday evening and they are massive favourites in the betting at 4/11 to extend their lead at the top to five points.

United are now 4/6 in the Premier League betting to win the title this year. With them looking rampant against the Blues and being two points clear of Arsenal having played a game less, it looks very much like they’ll be celebrating come May.

At the other end of the table things are looking increasingly tight. Birmingham’s United defeat means they are only one point off the drop zone and are 3/1 to be relegated. However, they have a game in hand over Wigan who occupy the final relegation spot.

West Ham remain rooted to the foot of the table following their 2-2 draw with Everton, but the Irons are only two points from safety.

Despite the closeness at the bottom of the table, the sides currently occupying the bottom three places are overwhelming favourites in the Premier League betting to go down.

West Ham and Wigan are both currently 4/7 to be playing Championship football next season, while Wolves are 4/6 to make the drop.
