Bet on Chelsea vs Villa – Home win is a massive banker

| 01.01.2011

Aston Villa have lost five of their last six games and their last four on the road, so they can be given little hope of getting a result away at Chelsea.

Match Odds

Villa are on a dreadful run of form and this has resulted in them slipping to within one point of the relegation places.

However, with some upset away wins taking place in the Premier League recently, Villa may take some confidence from this and are 11/1 to land victory.

Chelsea gained a much needed victory at home to Bolton in their most recent fixture and despite their recent poor form, they have won seven of their nine league games at Stamford Bridge.

Premier League betting odds have Chelsea as 1/4 favourites, but this should be free money based on recent form.

Correct Scoreline

Villa were in far better form when arriving at Stamford Bridge last season, but still fell to a 7-1 defeat and another high-scoring game could be on the cards.

Chelsea have managed 17 goals in their last four home games with Villa and it could be a great bet at 6/4 that at least four goals are scored in the match this season, despite the game earlier in the season at Villa Park ending goalless.

Villa have conceded at least two goals in eight of their last nine games, so it should be a given that Chelsea will also manage to do so.

With Chelsea not at their best, a 4-0 win for Carlo Ancelotti’s team could be a big price at 12/1, alongside the 5-0 home win at 22/1.

The best Villa can realistically expect is a draw and it is 25/1 that the encounter ends 2-2.

A £10 stake on Chelsea winning 4-0 and Frank Lampard scoring first would return £500. New customers can sign up here for a free £10 bet.
