Back Man City to get revenge

It’s been another busy week for Roberto Mancini with players coming and going – but there should be no drama against Wolves this Saturday.

The signing of long-term target Edin Dzeko should give City an extra boost and inspire them to a comfortable victory at 3/10.

The 3/10 for the straight City win may not be the most tempting bet imaginable, but there are plenty of other markets available to take advantage of a free £25 bet.

Wolves’ 1-0 win at Anfield a fortnight ago was the exception rather than the rule, and is their only victory from their last 13 away games. Mick McCarthy’s men have not scored more than one goal in any of those matches and, with City boasting the best defence in the league, there is little to suggest Wolves can spring another surprise.

The 5/6 offered for City to keep a clean sheet looks very tempting.

The one thing in Wolves’ favour is the fact that City’s attacking record at the Eastlands is hardly intimidating.

The Citizens have found the net just ten times in their last nine home league games, so backing under 2.5 goals at 11/10 – or even under 1.5 at 3/1 – may well be worth a punt.

However, three of the last four meetings between these sides has yielded over 2.5 goals, so – if you’re feeling adventurous – backing another high-scoring game at 4/6 could certainly be worth a bet – especially considering the introduction of Dzeko and the fact that Wolves and City’s last games both ended in 2-2 draws.
