Arsenal enter Nasri talks ahead Leeds United clash

Arsenal look set to sign up midfielder Samir Nasri on a bumper new five-year deal.

The Frenchman has been in brilliant form for the Gunners, bagging 13 goals already this season. Unfortunately for Arsene Wenger, his form has also drawn admiring glances from Spanish champions Barcelona.

With the Catalan giants allegedly sniffing around, Wenger is keen to extend Nasri’s current deal, which runs out in 18 months.

All indications are that Nasri will sign the deal which will put him on a par with the club’s top earners. Nasri’s agent, Jean-Pierre Bernes, said: “We’re in discussions to extend his contract. Then we will see afterwards what direction Samir wants to take with his career.”

However, it doesn’t look as though he’ll be on hand to help his teammates at the Emirates this weekend, with Arsene Wenger set to rest several key players.

The Gunners are priced at 2/7 to win that encounter and should comfortably come out on top against a Leeds United side who will be more concerned with maintaining their climb up the Championship table.

They lost their first game in 13 against Cardiff City in the week and are a massive 9/1 to come out on top in this clash.
