Home support the key as Serbia look to justify their 2/5 favouritism

With the tennis season officially over, the Davis Cup holds the final chance of the year for punters to explore the tennis odds and find some value.

Friday’s Davis Cup final sees Serbia take on France in Serbia as the two nations fight it out to be the best tennis nation on earth, and Serbia are the overwhelming favourites at 2/5 to beat France.

Led by captain Bogdan Obradovic, Novak Djokovic, Janko Tipsarevic, Viktor Troicki and Nenad Zimonjic hold the hopes of Serbia in their hands and Djokovic is calling for the home support to get behind their team.

“It’s going to be an unpredictable match against a very strong French team and the crowd’s support can play a key role,” said Djokovic.

France are a 7/4 chance in the Davis Cup betting and they will be represented by Gael Monfils, Giles Simon, Arnaud Clement and Michael Llodra under the captaincy of Guy Forget.

Monfils will open the campaign for France against Tipsarevic, followed by Djokovic taking on Simon.

Then Triocki and Zimonjic will team up for the doubles match against Clement and Llodra before Djokovic takes on Monfils in the penultimate match.

Tipsarevic and Simon’s final singles game may be rendered insignificant depending on what happens in the four previous matches, but should it come down to this final match, it will be an intriguing match-up between the world’s 42nd and 49th best players.

France may be the huge underdogs playing Serbia in Serbia, but the four players in the French side are more than capable of pulling off a surprise victory.

At 2/5 to win, Serbia offer little value in the Davis Cup online betting, and France’s Davis Cup odds of 7/4 are tempting considering they boast higher ranked players in their side.

Ladbrokes will offer in-play betting on all of the Davis Cup matches. New customers can sign up here for a free £10 bet.
