The first major of the tennis season is just over a month away and there are some very enticing Australian Open betting odds available on Ladbrokes.

Defending champion Roger Federer is second favourite in the tennis betting at 5/2. He had a poor season by his standards, but came back at the end of the year to win the ATP World Tour Finals and could be well worth backing in the tennis betting.

Favourite for the Australian Open at Melbourne Park is world No.1 Rafael Nadal. The Spaniard enjoyed a brilliant season last year winning the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open.

He is at 7/4 in the Australian Open tennis betting to make it four Grand Slams in a row.

Last year’s Australian Open losing finalist, Andy Murray, is third favourite in the tennis betting to upset the odds and win his first Grand Slam. The Scott is 5/1 in the tennis betting odds to go one better this year.

The 2008 Australian Open champion, Novak Djokovic, is fourth favourite in the tennis betting. He lost in the quarter finals last year and in the final of the year’s final Grand Slam – the US Open – and cannot be discounted when looking at tennis players to bet on.

Whoever you decide to bet on for the Australian Open, it promises to be a brilliant tournament with plenty of great tennis betting opportunities for you to take advantage of.
