Get your entries in for the Ladbrokes Lads Cup!

The chance to show-off in front of a packed Alexandra Palace – or potentially the prospect of free beer – has meant the entries for the Ladbrokes Lads Cup have been coming thick and fast over the past week.

There have been entries from as far afield as Merthyr Tydfil and Glasgow, and one or two interesting trends have cropped up from the application form answers.

The most popular person to walk out the teams would, unsurprisingly enough, be Cheryl Cole. The X Factor judge has been picked out by Whittington Wanders and The Holy Bush, amongst a host of others.

Many of the other teams aren’t so fussy. The Welsh Wonders would settle for “any page three girl”, while Falling Apart Oakies will take “anyone breathing” – hopefully they’ll be in luck.

Whilst the likes of Cheryl Cole and Kelly Brook are proving very popular for the choice of walk on guy/girl, it’s the old classics that are still the favoured choice for walk on music. Thin Lizzy’s ‘The Boys are Back in Town’ is leading the way thanks to the likes of Jeffrey’s Arrows and Risca Darts Boys.

If you think you could give the entrants so far a run for their money, then there is still plenty of time to enter. Just fill out this application form and your team could be at the oche during the World Darts Championship, competing against 15 other teams for the chance to be crowned inaugural Lads Cup champions.

All you have to do is tell our panel of experts – Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor, Russ Bray and Anastasia Dobromyslova – why you think you deserve to play in front of a packed house at the world’s greatest darts venue.

You may not be able to compete with the likes of Taylor for the £200,000 first prize, but you can bag yourself free entry to the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship, £250 expenses and a host of other brilliant prizes.
