Bet on Chelsea vs Fulham – Home specialists host awful travellers

It seems a case of by how many rather than will they take the three points as Chelsea look to return to winning ways in the Premier League.

Match Odds

On paper it appears to be one of the biggest betting bankers imaginable with Chelsea’s formidable home record and Fulham’s dreadful record on the road in the top flight.

Chelsea have won 15 of their last 16 league games at Stamford Bridge and have avoided conceded a goal in their five home matches so far.

Meanwhile, Fulham have failed to win on their travels in the top flight for close to 15 months and have beaten Chelsea just once in the last 27 clashes between the two in all competitions.

Another factor in Chelsea’s favour is that they are still to lose back-to-back games under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti and the Italian will be keen to get his players back in the right frame of mind following their loss at Liverpool.

Chelsea are 1/5 to beat Fulham, with the visitors 12/1 to cause what would be one of the upsets of the Premier League season.

Fulham do seem to enjoy a draw and this can be backed 11/2.

First Goalscorer

Keeping Didier Drogba quiet will be one of the biggest challenges facing Fulham as he has been deadly at Stamford Bridge this season.

Drogba comes into the game suitably rested after starting from the bench at Liverpool because of a fever and he has netted nine goals in the last six home games he has played for Chelsea in the league.

The Ivorian is 3/1 to be the first scorer against Fulham and can count Chelsea’s West London neighbours as being among his favourite opposition, scoring in each of his last three games against them.

Zoltan Gera scored Fulham’s goal at Stamford Bridge last season and is 12/1 to break the deadlock.
