Arsenal loan star makes Norwich great bet for Ipswich win

Arsene Wenger has given Norwich City a huge boost ahead of their East Anglia derby with Ipswich Town on Sunday by allowing Henri Lansbury to join on a 28-day emergency loan.

The Canaries are 6/5 in the Championship betting market to win against their bitter rivals, and the arrival of Lansbury to bolster their depleted midfield means they are looking increasingly tempting at that price.

The England under-21 midfielder has impressed on previous loan spells in the Championship with Watford and Scunthorpe, and boss Paul Lambert is convinced Lansbury – who scored in Arsenal’s 4-1 win against Tottenham earlier this season – can make a huge difference.

He said: “I’m delighted Arsenal have agreed to let Henri come here. He’s a quality young player, very positive in his play.

“We have been hit with injuries and midfield is one of the areas where we needed strengthening. Henri gives us more options in there which is important.”

Norwich head into their clash with the Tractor Boys looking to get their first win in five games. They have drawn their previous four games, but there hasn’t been a better time this season get all three points against Ipswich.

After their brilliant start to the season, Roy Keane’s side have slipped to 13th in the league following three consecutive defeats. They are out at 9/5 to win at Norwich and it’s hard to see them getting anything out of their trip.

Ipswich have won just two of their last ten games at Carrow Road, with their last victory coming in February 2006. With the impressive Lansbury on board, Norwich are looking good for the win at 6/5.
