Wales looking for Flynn-spiration from new boss

Wales are 13/8 with Ladbrokes to beat Bulgaria in caretaker boss Brian Flynn’s first match in charge. Both sides have struggled early on in Group G, and Bulgaria, with their own new boss in the shape of Lothar Matthaus, are also 13/8, with the draw 23/10.

Russia are narrow 13/8 favourites to defeat the Republic of Ireland (17/10) at the Aviva Stadium, with Spurs teammates Robbie Keane and Roman Pavlyuchenko both 6/1 to open the scoring, while Scotland are a 4/1 shot to beat the Czech Republic. In Belfast, Italy, unbeaten in away qualifiers for four years, are 8/13 to defeat Northern Ireland, who are 9/2.

David Williams of Ladbrokes said, “It’s tough opposition all round for the home nations and it’s already a must-win game for Wales, but we think that Brian Flynn can get the best out of his players.”
