Sevilla will want to continue strong start under Gregorio Manzano

Published:

New Sevilla boss Gregorio Manzano is undefeated in his two games as manager despite having to face strong sides in Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

His side will be hopeful of registering their third victory in a row when they travel to Sporting Gijon on Sunday, and they are 11/10 to take all three points.

Gijon currently sit 16th in La Liga with just the one victory this season, at home to Mallorca, and have lost four of their last five meetings with Sevilla.

However, Sevilla have never scored more than one goal in their last six visits to the Molinon and you can get 2/1 on there being under 1.5 goals in the game.

Sevilla have won two of the three games in which they’ve trailed this season so it may be worth taking advantage of Ladbrokes in-play betting markets if Gijon take the lead – but antepost, Sevilla are 9/1 to come from behind and win.

Sevilla are on a run of 23 away league games without sharing the points and the draw can be ruled out at 12/5.

Athletic Bilbao vs Real Zaragoza

Despite being at home and holding the 8/11 favouritism for this match, Bilbao havewon only one of their last six meetings with Real Zaragoza and the 4/1 seems a big price.

However, Zaragoza are yet to win this season and when Bilbao aren’t losing to Zaragoza, they’re picking up a point and with the last three matches between these two sides at the San Mames ending even – the draw is the best bet at 5/2.

Zaragoza have scored just one goal in their last six visits to San Mames and with 0-0 available at 8/1, and 1-1 avaiable at 11/2, a nice return could be made by backing both of those scorelines.

Fernando Llorente has been in fine form for Spain and is 7/2 to get the first goal for Bilbao. See the full La Liga football betting odds market here.
