Palermo and Catania capable of taking the three points

Palermo may have struggled for home wins this season, but they do have a good recent record over surprise Serie A leaders Lazio at the Barbera.

Delio Rossi’s team have won just one of their four home games, but the tightness of the Italian top-flight means they are seventh in the standings after eight games.

They could potentially climb to fourth with a win over Lazio, who are a team that they have beaten at home in the past two Serie A seasons.

Palermo are 13/10 to beat Lazio and key will be how they start the game as Rossi has already watched his team concede three goals in the opening 15 minutes of games.

Lazio are enjoying their best ever start to a Serie A season and have picked up the most points away from home in the division thanks to their three victories on the road.

They are underdogs at 21/10 to beat Palermo.

In the other televised Serie A game, Sinisa Mihajlovic makes a return to his former club as Fiorentina travel to Catania.

Mihajlovic joined Fiorentina in the summer and has been handed the good news that Adrian Mutu is available for selection again after serving a nine-month drugs ban.

Mutu is 6/1 to open the scoring against Catania and a goal may well help Fiorentina claim a first away victory of the Serie A season.

They are 15/8 to take the three points, but this may prove easier said than done as Catania are still unbeaten at home after four games and have not been defeated at the Stadio Angelo Massimino in the whole of 2010.

Catania are 6/4 to beat Fiorentina, but have only beaten the opposition three times in 26 meetings in Serie A.

A defeat could leave Fiorentina bottom of the table after nine games of the Serie A season. See the full Catania vs Fiorentina match betting odds market.
