Norwich to continue impressive start and collect rare Palace win

Published:

Norwich have made steady progress up the Championship table to climb into third spot and they will be hopeful of pouring further pressure on QPR and Cardiff with a victory at home to Crystal Palace.

History does not suggest a home win though, as Norwich have only won once in their last 11 league matches with Crystal Palace.

Scoring first could be the key for Norwich as they have won all four Championship games this season in which they have broken the deadlock and they are 8/13 to beat Crystal Palace.

Palace’s winless streak stretches to six matches and their disappointing form has seen them slip into the relegation places in the Championship table.

They are 9/2 to beat Norwich and collect a first away win of the campaign.

Watford and Ipswich are other teams with promotion aspirations and both currently sit level on 18 points in the play-off places.

However, while Watford have been scoring for fun, Ipswich have slightly struggled in front of goal.

Watford are 13/10 to beat Ipswich and extend their unbeaten streak against Roy Keane’s team to 11 matches.

Meanwhile, Ipswich are 21/10 to win and improve on their disappointing away record which has seen them take two points from a possible nine in their last three matches on the road.

Portsmouth are another team to have struggled away from home and go in search of their first Championship victory of the season on their travels at Millwall.

Steve Cotterill has witnessed his team run into some form of late after a poor start and they are 5/2 to win at Millwall.

The hosts have fared well against teams in the bottom half of the Championship table and recently ended a seven-game winless run when beating Crystal Palace.

Millwall are 11/10 to beat Portsmouth and remain on the tails of the play-off places.

Norwich’s fine start has seen them shorten to 16/1 to win the Championship. See the full Championship winners betting odds market.
