Inter vs Sampdoria – Visitors a bogey team for Inter

| 23.10.2010

Inter will be looking to maintain the pressure on Serie A table toppers Lazio, but history suggests that they may find it difficult to beat Sampdoria.

Last season’s Serie A winners failed to score in either outing against Sampdoria and have never managed more than a single goal in any of the last five meetings.

Meanwhile, Inter have only beaten Sampdoria once in the last five showdowns, but are 8/15 to defeat Sampdoria at the San Siro this season.

Sampdoria come into the game having just travelled back from a Europa League game in the Ukraine and are 6/1 to beat Inter.

The visitors have drawn all three of their away games in Serie A so far this season and it is 11/4 that they achieve another one against Inter.

The other two televised games focus on some of the big names struggling in Serie A, including Roma’s trip to Parma.

Roma have beaten Parma in their last eight meetings and there is every chance that this could be Claudio Ranieri’s last game in charge if this winning streak is not extended.

Roma are just three points off the foot of the table and are 6/4 to claim an away victory at Parma.

The hosts are 9/5 to land the spoils and end a run of six games without a victory.

Fiorentina are currently propping up the table, but are still 8/11 to win against Bari.

Bari have won three of the last five meetings between the two, although they have won away at Fiorentina once ever in the top flight and this was way back in 1949.

Bari are 9/2 to collect a first away win of the campaign, with Barreto a possible good bet to score first at 8/1 and find the target for the fourth time in Serie A this season.

Alberto Gilardino is a leading candidate to score Fiorentina’s first goal. See the whole Fiorentina vs Bari match betting odds market.
